Well now that channel 5's ratings have dropped even more, what should KSTP do to try to increase the ratings? Here's a list of what I think: - Make Tim Sherno weeknight anchor - Build a brand new set and go HD - Design HD ready graphics - Get some better music - Maybe fire the current News Director
What are your thoughts? Have anymore?

I think they need to do all of these things plus fire Cyndy Brucato. I think she is terrible on the air and doesnt really have much personality. Instead of their hard news format they should try to be more like kare and wcco. I mean their formats are obviously what works in this market, so why not present the news in a way that the public responds to?

I agree with you, they should change their format and fire Cyndy Brucato right away.

I think they should try to keep some of there long time reporters and anchors insted of firing them. With the way they're going i'm amazed that Dave Dahl hasn't been fired yet. Then they should promote Rob Koch but they would then probuly promote Chickage. I mean channel 5 has talent there they just need to learn how to use it. Like Tim Sherno for example, he's a well liked anchor and has 7 years of anchoring expirence in the Twin Cities. He would be perfect for the morning anchor spot or the weeknight anchor slot. Unless channel 5 does some major shake up's this year there's no hope of them improving the ratings. They will continue to drop.

Hubbard's need to fire everybody, dismantle the establishment, re-mantle the establishment, hire prople that viewers can actually STAND TO WATCH! More newscasts are NOT the answer. fewer BETTER QUALITY newscasts ARE the answer.
Or, they could do what KDLH in Duluth, MN does. one 5:30 and 1 10:00 newscast. world news at 6:00, and syndacated progrmming at 5& 6:30.
